WATERLINE LEAK DETECTION & REPAIR

Navy waterlines registered losses of 50%. Amorient used a high-sensitivity inline acoustic detection device along with LED light source and video camera, called SAHARA from Pure Technologies. The tethered system is inserted into a live pipeline and the footage viewed in real-time, enabling fast reporting.

Along Route 16, six sections (13,409 ft) of water main, was inspected and three leaks identified. Additionally, seven undocumented bends were identified via CCTV. Amorient obtained all the required permits and managed the repair of the leaks. Due to the success of the Route 16 project, Amorient was also awarded a further leak detection task order for Route 8.

The Waterfront Headquarters Building is a two-story facility with an observation tower for the Marine Corps amphibious operations. The structure is reinforced concrete with pile foundations, all components are appropriate for Guam's earthquake and weather standards. Amorient is conducting Special Inspections and Submittal Reviews for all disciplines.

Engineering Assessments

Amorient, with support by Setiadi Architects, have received two Task Orders to date:

  • Asset Evaluation of Multiple Facilities, which involved the assessment of 910 buildings and facilities at Andersen AFB. The report required the creation of photo logs, location plans and floor plans with area calculations.

  • Construct Refueling Facilities at X-Ray Wharf, Naval Base Guam. The project involved site investigation, design charrette, updating DD 1391 documentation and preparing a Project Development Brochure
