HARDENING OF METAL BUILDINGS

UNIVERSITY OF GUAM (2017)

FEMA provided a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program grant to enable the university to harden two metal annex buildings, comprising of classrooms and instructor offices. Amorient provided a detailed analysis of the existing structure and developed a design and technical package for Invitation for Bids (IFB).

GUAM WATERWORKS AUTHORITY (2017-2018)

The project involved the replacement of approximately 4,500 linear feet of old Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP) along the Macheche Road, to improve reliability of the sewer line that conveys wastewater from the Latte Heights area to the collection system along Route 1. It included:

  • Demolition work within the project area

  • Civil improvements

  • Paving and Drainage Improvements

GUAM VISITORS BUREAU (2015 - 2017)

Guam Visitors Bureau issued 5 Task Orders to Amorient to determine the root cause of sporadic outages and burnouts of the street lights in the Tumon Bay area, which made it unsafe for pedestrians and traffic. The task orders involved:

  • Condition survey of 331 street lights, prioritized repair recommendations and maintenance guidelines

  • Electrical Assessments

  • Technical support during bid preparation & bid evaluation 

  • Compliance monitoring & control of material handling

  • Construction Management
