“Amorient's engineers were thorough and reasonable in their analysis. The Bank of Guam would definitely consider using Amorient's services again in the future.”

Various Clients (2014-2019)

Design  |  Construction Management

Amorient has been involved in several renewable energy projects on Guam and Saipan, as a consultant for Latte Stone Solar, Pacific Solar & Photovoltaics. Our engineering department faces challenges related to the tropical climate and building structure when designing solar framing for rooftop arrays.

The primary design consideration on Guam is wind, as the Tropical Energy Code stipulates a 170 mph wind loading for framing. While sun strength and monsoon rain are not factors in structural calculations, they can cause rooftop cracking and influences anchor rod placement. End users include the military, commercial and education sector clients.

Louis Berger Power LLC (2017)

Quality Control  |  Inspections

Amorient provided Construction Quality Control Services for the new 24MW Power Plant in Pago Pago, American Samoa, replacing the previous 23 MW Power Plant that was destroyed during the 2009 tsunami. The new plant is at a higher elevation on engineered fill, includes an 8 FT flood wall with water tight flood doors, and acoustic noise reduction measures. Amorient was a sub-contractor to Louis Berger Power on this project and managed all QA/QC programs for the construction and equipment installation.

Bank of Guam (2014 - 2015)

Construction Administration  | Inspections

Amorient performed Construction Administration services for the Bank of Guam, the financier of this project. Amorient was required to perform site inspections to confirm quantities and completion percentages, review all contractor documentation and coordinate & document progress meetings between the Contractor, Construction Manager and the Client.
