Amorient Engineering was a subcontractor to Hensel Phelps on this 30-day D/B contract for the Department of Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The project required a rapid response to convert hospital rooms into a temporary Alternate Care Facility (ACF) for acute infectious COVID-19 patients.
Mechanical Scope:

Converting 7 patient rooms to negative pressure capable rooms
Electrical Scope:

Assessment of a proposed permanent upgrade to two floors.

Design of a temporary power system to provide 43 dedicated circuits to power ventilation equipment, providing negative pressure to rooms in the temporary ACF.

Design new circuits powered by a temporary generator with failover via automatic transfer switch to building power.
