FEATURE PROJECT:
FEMA PERMANENT HOUSING SAIPAN
SERVICES:
Civil Design | Permitting | Construction Administration

Supertyphoon Yutu caused catastrophic damage to the island of Saipan in 2018 and FEMA provided disaster assistance to construct one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes designed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Amorient Engineering was a subcontractor to APTIM and GWWH JV for the first 40 homes. A site plan and utility hookups had to be developed for each of the homes, as well as coordination for the topographic surveys and geotechnical investigation.

Amorient was responsible for all plans and permits required - demolition, zoning, environmental permits, and Individual Disposal System Permitting, which included coordination with the USACE-provided construction documents. During construction, Amorient responded to RFI's and performed Special Inspections.
